Franck Joly
Director of Training & Education
Franck Joly comes from France, where he studied international business at the renowned Paris business school L'Ecole Superieure du Commerce Exterieur. He completed internships with Bristol-Myers Squibb in Egypt and the Sheraton Group in Miami, before going on to become the head of export sales for Europe and Japan, at French luxury goods manufacturer Didier Lamarte.
In 1997, Franck traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, to perform a marketing survey for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Here he met Dr. Des Fernandes, Plastic Surgeon and founder of Environ®, who recruited Franck to translate the Environ® Training Materials and product inserts into French. Franck went on to become the head of the Environ® Treatment Center, which is now the prestigious Environ® Institute in Cape Town. Here Franck was instrumental in running multi-center clinical trials, run jointly in Cape Town and Japan, which led to the development of the patented DF Device for low-frequency Sonophoresis & Iontophoresis.
After 3 years with Environ®, Franck was appointed the Environ® Distributor for Southern California, and in 2000 established DermoGenesis, USA in Beverly Hills.

Hilton Kaplan, MD PhD
Director of Clinical Research & Regulatory Affairs
Dr Hilton Kaplan specialized in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Cape Town's internationally acclaimed Groote Schuur Hospital (home to the world's first heart transplant). He obtained military certification in Aviation & Aerospace Medicine, as well as in Diving & Submarine Medicine, and provided medical support on the Southern Oceans research expedition to Antarctica. In private practice with Dr Des Fernandes (founder of multi-national Environ® cosmeceutics), they conducted key clinical research on suspension techniques for facial rejuvenation, and Collagen Induction Therapy (today the novel Roll-CIT® system). Dr Kaplan is also the author of a novel technique for repairing congenital Stahl's ear deformities.
Dr Kaplan spent 7 years on staff at the University of Southern California (USC) in the Medical Device Development Facility of the Alfred Mann Institute. While there he obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering, on the BION™ research team. BIONs ("BIOnic Neurons") are radio-controlled injectable electronic chips for stimulating movement in the paralyzed. He created and runs the clinical trial investigating BION neuromuscular electrical stimulation for pressure ulcer prevention in the spinal cord injured, and developed the BION Insertion Tool for implantation. From USC he also holds a Masters in Regulatory Science, a Masters in Medical Device & Diagnostic Engineering, and a Graduate Certificate in Technology Commercialization from the Marshall School of Business.
Dr Kaplan lectures, presents and publishes articles for numerous international conferences and journals. He has over a decade of experience in clinical, research and regulatory; technology and product development; and sales & marketing of cosmeceutic and surgical devices. Since 2000 he has been Director of Clinical Research & Regulatory Affairs for DermoGenesis USA, and currently holds an Adjunct Professorship with the USC School of Pharmacy (Regulatory Science). Dr Kaplan also sits on the Board of the nonprofit Grossman Burn Foundation.

Daren Kwok
Director of Operations
Daren Kwok’s knowledge and experience in the healthcare and consumer products industries spans his entire career and includes marketing, public relations and corporate communications for a wide range of companies such as Thermage, Starbucks, Amylin Pharmaceuticals and Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson company.
His past work has given him deep insight into developing and applying best corporate practices from some of the most respected and fastest growing companies in healthcare and consumer products.
Daren has a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communications.

Gena Haba
Regional Consultant
Gena Haba brings over 25 years' experience in the skin care industry to DermoGenesis. As the Regional Consultant for Southern California and a licensed esthetician, Gena has trained extensively on innovative techniques for enhancing vitamin penetration (including Environ®'s Iontophoresis and Sonophoresis treatments, as well as Collagen Induction Therapy with the Cosmetic Roll-CIT), and is also expert at TCA cool-gel peeling.
Throughout her career, Gena has been concerned about the damage done to the skin by overly aggressive treatments. While carrying Environ® exclusively at her own skin care clinic, Celebrate Your Skin, for five years, she found that Environ was the first product line that produced the results her clients were looking for, while fostering healthy skin. Gena was so impressed that she dedicated her efforts to pursue this novel approach to skin care further, by becoming an important part of the DermoGenesis team.

Cedilia Molina
Office Administrator
Cedilia Molina has been with DermoGenesis , USA since 2001. She plays an important role in company affairs as Office Administrator and Personal Assistant to the managing director.
Prior to coming to DermoGenesis Cedilia has worked with a Doctor of Chiropractic, where she specialized in ultra-sound and muscle stimulation treatments, as well as serving as patient coordinator.
Cedilia is currently further developing her career at the International Academy of Cosmetology, and will soon be a registered Esthetician in the state of CA.
